Why we are doing this

This is Natasha, my sister-in-law and one of the most amazing people I have ever met. About a month after I first met her in 2005 she was diagnosed with breast cancer at the age of 29. Her family (now my family) were devastated but amazingly supportive. She threw herself at the battle against cancer with the full force that she tackled everything in her life and for four and a half years she showed it what for.

She was beautiful, caring, creative, fun and an amazing friend to me. She is missed terribly by everyone who knew her and I am sorry that our children (whenever they may arrive) will never meet her.

We do, however, have Natasha to thank for discovering the nasty secret lurking in the DNA of her family. It is now possible for us to prevent our children from having to go through what she went through and to save us the heart-ache and intense pain of watching our children grow ill and die long before their time.

Thank you Natasha.
